Heavy rain fell throughout the May WVXL store sale which led to increased buyer competition and confidence. Once again, the soft flooring and undercover facility provided by WVLX was commended by vendors and buyers alike.

There was a smaller penning of store cattle that came forward for today’s store sale. Although there was a lighter penning of grown steers, they were very good quality and sold to a good demand from feedlotters and local graziers, with a rise of 15c/kg in this category.

A line of 220kg well-bred Angus weaner steers sold to a much keener demand and averaged around $800.

A feature line of Angus Heifers weighing an average of 404.4kg were purchased by a grazier to join and sold in the range of $3.17 – $3.56/kg and topped at $1431.45 per head.
