PHOTO: This beautifully presented pen of Speckled Park Heifers sold by Elders Kerr & Co, made a ripping top price of 374c/kg (ave. weight 375.9kg) to very keen competition, and was also awarded Best Presented Pen of Heifers for the day!

Total Yarding: 3,620

There were 3,620 cattle all Western District bred, presented in very good condition and in big vendor lines sold at today’s November store sale at WVLX.

Older steers weighing 350-515kg were selling between 290-310c/kg.

In the weaner section we had two very big lines, being the Ryan Pastoral cattle and Ballangeich Angus, with weaners selling between 290-340c/kg.

The grass heifers presented in great condition and sold between 250-270c/kg, and the weaner heifers weighing between 280-350kg sold between 260-280c/kg. The plainer bred cattle sold to firmer rates.

We had buyers from JBS, Teys Australia and Ravensworth, with SA support as well from Creek Livestock and Miller Whan & John. Gippsland support from SEJ Leongatha and well supported from our locals.
