With plenty of cattle everywhere available to processors, and a larger yarding here of 1,024 head, 448 more, prices were lower. Most cattle sold 20c to 30c/kg cheaper with just the best quality grown steers selling at unchanged prices. The mainly good to very good quality offering attracted the usual following of buyers though not all operated fully. 

The few vealers sold from 265c to 290c/kg. The C muscled yearlings predominately made from 240c to 291c with B muscled to 295c and restockers paid from 240c to 280c/kg. The D muscled yearlings sold from 165c to 210c with restockers going from 210c to 248c/kg. 

An average to very good yarding of C3 and C4 grown steers sold from 250c to 318c, while the same grades of grown heifers made from 250c to 278c/kg. Heavy weight C3 and C4 beef cows sold from 205c to 250c with the leaner C2 grade making from 195c to 242c and the D2’s selling from 186c to 215c/kg. The D1 cows made from 152c to 182c/kg. A run of cows cost processors an estimated 420c to 475c/kg cwt. The heavy weight beef bulls made from 220c to 270c/kg.
