This Thursday’s store sale at the WVLX saleyards in Mortlake is set to be another big one, with 2500 cattle booked in already and more bookings rolling in daily.

WVLX Manager Tim Nowell said that after nearly 8 months of operation, the Mortlake facility is quite renowned for its quality store sales.

“We’ve sold over 17,000 cattle through our store sales alone, which is an average of 2,440 cattle each store sale since the first one in February this year,” Mr Nowell said.

“Our facility is designed specifically to host big cattle numbers on sale days, and we always pull a big crowd of vendors, buyers and onlookers which is great!”
