Agents penned a plain to good quality offering of 823 cattle for a similar field of buyers to last week. Restockers purchased a large percentage of the sale which included a great run of store conditioned beef cows. Quality on quality, prices averaged unchanged for young cattle and cows but some restocking young cattle sales were dearer and restocking cows sold 10c to 25c/kg higher. The beef bred grown steers were also equal in prices but Friesian steers were 20c/kg cheaper.

Vealers mostly sold from 535c to 586c with odd sales to 612c and restockers paid to 656c/kg. The yearlings were generally between 430c and 555c with restockers paying to 580c/kg. The grown steers were mainly from 445c to 501c with the best of those to feed on up to 538c/kg. Friesian steers made 290c to 345c/kg.

The beef cows sold from 320c to 382c with restockers paying 332c to 398c/kg. The leaner cows were from 270c to 324c/kg.
