Total Yarding: 225

Possibly due to the public holiday tomorrow, agents penned only 225 head of average to good quality cattle. Numbers were down by 826 head and sold to less competition from processors. Prices, quality on quality, were 15c/kg dearer for the few vealers and overall unchanged for yearlings though these did fluctuate a bit during their sale. The few grown steers averaged 40c lower and beef cows were 10c/kg cheaper. All other cows made firm to slightly easier prices while the one sale of four jersey bulls sold 30c to 40c/kg dearer than recent sales.

Vealers made 436c and 447c with restockers paying to 394c and a sale topped at 440c/kg. The yearlings were from 340c to 397c and a single B3 steer made 405c/kg. Restockers paid to 399c for steers with two head out to 427c and restocking heifers sold to 393c/kg. The few grown steers were at 316c and 322c with a restocker paying 368c/kg.

Beef cows sold between 271c and 306c while the plain selection of dairy cows were from 225c to 258c/kg. The four Jersey bulls made 270c/kg
