MARKET REPORT-PRIME SALE- 16 NOVEMBER, 2020

Nutrien Livestock sold an outstanding pen of angus milk vealers on behalf of R & J Keast at today’s Prime Market. The mixed sex vealers were sold under open auction making to $1280 0r 463c/kg. Congratulations!

Total Yarding:  1’091 

Agents yarded 1,091 cattle at Mortlake this week, an increase of 250 with the overall offering very good to excellent. All the regular processors were present and active as well as feeders who were very active in a market that was firm for the trade cattle. Manufacturing steers with the heavy grown steers and heifers eased from 5c to 10c/kg, particularly the lighter to medium weight steers with less cover. The cows were firm to 10c/kg stronger especially for the medium weights.

Milk vealers to the trade made up to 450c whilst restockers paid to 449c/kg. Yearling steers to the trade sold from 375c to 425c, with a heifer portion making from 377c to 434c, feeders paid up to 389c/kg. The grown steers made from 343c to 390c while grown heifers sold from 320c and 400c/kg. Manufacturing steers made from 320c to 365c/kg.

Heavy beef bred cows sold from 300c to 339c whilst the medium weight beef cows made from 290c to 329c/kg. The very well covered dairy cows sold from 260c to 288c/kg. Cows back to the paddock made to a top of 282c/kg. Whilst grown beef Bulls sold to 280c/kg.
