SUCCESSFUL FIRST F1 FEMALE SALE IN MORTLAKE

PHOTO: Graham & Merilyn Sutherland sold 93 Angus PTIC heifers to a top of $2100ph, and the family came along to see including daughter Charlotte (back left), Merilyn (back middle), and grandchildren Lucy (middle left), Millie (middle), Angus (middle right) and Tommy (front).

There was a very good yarding of all sections of F1 Heifers and Calves, Cows and Calves, Joined Heifers and Unjoined Heifers at the first F1 Female Sale at WVLX Mortlake.

Heifers and Calves went to Finley NSW as well as to other local buyers, with the top pen of Angus X Cows & Calves selling for $2700ph on account of KC & KE Mynard.

Joined Heifers went to repeat local buyers with some of the best pens going to Northern Victoria and Gippsland. GS & MY Sutherland presented the top pen of Angus PTIC heifers that sold for $2100ph.

Some of the heavy weighted off bred Heifers made similar to the fat market price, whereas Unjoined Heifers were well sought after and sold well to keen local competition and also repeat buyers.

Overall, there was a big crowd in attendance with other buyers coming from Mornington Peninsula, Colac, Heywood and local areas. All cattle presented extremely well in the WVLX complex and our thanks go to all vendors, buyers, transporters and agents for supporting the sale.
