Another big sale is on the cards for Monday 8th Feb in Mortlake, with over 950 cattle expected. There is a good split again of bullocks, trade cattle and cows.
PHOTO: These Limousin X Weaner Steers absolutely took the cake at today’s prime market, with HF Richardson selling them for a top of 511c/kg, returning $1345.63ph on behalf of C & B Hill. Total Yarding: 760 It was a very dearly priced sale for most categories of cattle in the yarding of 760 head,
These Limousin X Steers sold by HF Richardson on behalf of TA McCann and SA Bell made a tidy price of 436c/kg, returning $1722.20. The same vendor also sold the top trade steers for the day for 447c/kg, returning $1632! Total Yarding: 225 Possibly due to the public holiday tomorrow, agents penned only 225 head
Southern Grampians Livestock & Real Estate sold an excellent run of 42 Angus Weaner Steers on behalf of Sambell Pastoral. The steers went under the hammer for a whopping 526c/kg returning $1918.02 per head. Congratulations! Total Yarding: 879 Agents penned 879 cattle for the first prime market in four weeks, 336 head more. The usual buyers were in attendance for the mainly good to very good quality offering that contained plenty of weight and condition. Prices compared to 4 weeks ago showed milk vealers on average 20c higher and yearlings
